UPDATE 2: Xbox Live is now back up, and normal services have resumed.
UPDATE: What we originally thought was a problem isolated to Destiny is actually an Xbox-wide issue.
We've got the proper teams investigating sign-in issues across Xbox One consoles & our website. We'll provide more info when we have it!

We’d link you to the Xbox Support page, but it’s currently refusing to load. It looks like users are currently unable to sign into Xbox Live, play online, or make purchases through the Xbox Store. We’ll update the story when there are further developments – hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.
ORIGINAL STORY: Destiny 2 has taken over our lives for the past month while we’ve played through it, putting together our massive Destiny 2 guide, so we know what a pain it can be when there’s a connection issue. If you’re looking to put in a solid session on Xbox One today, it might be worth holding off for a bit.
According to Bungie Help’s Twitter account, some players are currently “experiencing issues” connecting on Xbox One. The wording of the tweet makes it sound like it’s not so widespread an issue that they can declare Destiny ‘down’ on Xbox, but it’s affecting enough players to be worth mentioning.
We are aware of players currently experiencing issues connecting to Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 on Xbox One.

This isn’t a lot to go on, of course, beyond the fact that Bungie is “aware” of the issue and will, presumably, be looking into it. This isn’t covered by our extensive list of error codes, but since it’s likely to be a problem on Bungie’s end you might just need to wait. Sorry to anyone who had big plans to jump into the Iron Banner right now and can’t get on.
Hopefully, these issues will be resolved soon.
